O-Scent

Destruction of odours

Unlike many other products,
O-Scent doesn't hide the smell but destroys the odour-particles on a molecular level.

Water Lube

Water Lube is a water-based formulation, used during the manufacture of paper tissue and towel products in the paper converting industry. It replaces mineral oil lubricants and avoids build-up of laminating glues, fibres and dust on the steel embossing and rubber marrying rollers.

O-Scent

A natural odour neutralizer that breaks down and eliminates odour causing gases

Odour control is an essential part of operations for industries trying to keep up with increasing government emissions regulations and improve conditions for workers and residents of surrounding areas.

As odour control solutions are offered up, many fall short in one of two categories. Either they act as mere air deodorizers and don't address the elimination of potentially toxic gases - or as they eliminate odours, they introduce hazardous compounds into the areas as they "clean".

It's no cover-up

While other odour control systems claim to hide or cover unpleasant odours, O-Scent is proven to chemically convert foul and potentially harmful gases into non-odorous, non-toxic by-products. Independent testing has verified that O-Scent is effective in the breakdown and reduction of hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, sulphur dioxide and ethyl and methyl mercaptans - potentially toxic gases which comprise the most common sources of malodour. In fact, O-Scent is so effective, it often makes harsh scrubber chemicals and more elaborate odour control technologies unnecessary.

O-Scent is most often diluted with water and sprayed into odorous areas in an atomized mist of small droplets. The essential oils in the droplets combine to farm a thin, electrostatically-charged film around each droplet. The makeup of this film attracts molecules that form the offensive odour. Odorous molecules then attach to the droplets - where they are captured and neutralized by the essential oils mixture.

The real story is all natural

While the essential oils of O-Scent effectively eliminate odours, their natural, non-toxic makeup makes them gentle and non-threatening to the environment and the people who work with them. Completely organic and biodegradable, O-Scent does not disturb the balance of environments, it aims to improve.

Minimum outlay, maximum results

Easy-to-install O-Scent dispersal systems are so simple in design that they require little of the capital outlay and maintenance of other mechanically elaborate odour control systems. O-Scent is infinitely flexible in its application to a variety of settings including oil refineries, wastewater treatment plants, processing plants, landfills, and industrial plants of all kind.
Simple misting and fogging equipment is available to effectively apply O-Scent in any indoor or outdoor environment. Because of O-Scent's flexibility of application, existing odour control hardware can usually be easily adapted to disperse the product to required areas. This easy adaptation further reduces capital costs by keeping existing equipment from becoming redundant.

Indoors, O-Scent can be diluted and applied topically or locally to eliminate malodour in confined composting, water treatment, sludge treatment or garbage handling areas. The treatment is an inexpensive solution which provides a more pleasant, productive work environment.

Outdoors, O-Scent controls odours from aeration ponds, lagoons and sludge pits. A very cost-effective form of treatment, these systems are highly effective in breaking down odours and eliminating foul fumes that may travel to surrounding areas.

Because O-Scent is very highly concentrated, it can be water- diluted to a greater degree than other neutralizers. As a result, operating casts are reduced by using less product.
O-Scent is so effective, it can often replace air scrubbers and other more elaborate odour control equipment used to deodorize stack emissions. Where scrubbers are installed, O-Scent can be used as a safe, effective odour control substitute for potentially hazardous sodium hypochlorite, caustic or blended cleansing solutions - or as a secondary polishing agent.

Treatment of domestic wastewater generates odours which can be strong, persistent and a nuisance to residents, businesses and industries which may be located close to a wastewater treatment plant.

Odours are generated in varying degrees throughout the treatment plant with the main odour-generating areas being the plant influent areas, clarifies, digesters, aeration lagoons and sludge handling areas. Each plant has its own particular problem areas; all of which can be examined and remedied with the use of O-Scent.

Odours which are naturally generated in the wastewater process include hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, carbon dioxide, skatoles, mercaptans, amines and indoles. O-Scent can be introduced at any point in the waste system to control odours; including Sewer lines, man holes, lift stations or treatment stations. O-Scent eliminates odours within the atmosphere but will not affect any bacterial actions that may be occurring in a liquid, sludge or solids holding area.

O-Scent

  • is a unique blend of natural essential oils and food grade emulsifiers mixed to create a broad spectrum odour control compound
  • works effectively against both organic and inorganic odours
  • is non-toxic, biodegradable and safe to use in even the most confined areas
  • has been proven to drastically reduce hydrogen sulphide emissions to acceptable air quality standards in independent laboratory tests
  • is not a masking agent and does not operate in the same mode as less efficient counteractants
  • creates a neutral atmosphere where malodour has been removed and no replacement odour has been created

Installation

When possible, we will use existing odour control hardware to apply O-Scent. Where no odour control system is currently in place we will complete a thorough site assessment and recommend equipment suitable for your particular needs. O-Scent may be applied into an atmosphere using a variety of flexible, efficient application methods. All that is required for operation is a power source and water or air supply.

Dilution

O-Scent may be diluted with water at varying rates and applied at a rate that will neutralize the offensive odour. Dilution rates within wastewater treatment plants average 150: 1. The aim of O-Scent is to create a neutral atmosphere where there is no odour and no replacement scent.

Simplicity of Control

Once the O-Scent system is working effectively, there is very little that needs to be done. Most systems operate on an "as needed" basis whereby the systems are turned on when the odour reaches a certain perceived level or are started up when air movements cause the odour to travel toward urban areas or neighbours. If the volume of air to be treated varies, the system can be adjusted accordingly.

Packaging

O-Scent is available in 25 L, 210 L drums and 1000 L containers.
By arrangement, O-Scent may also be delivered in various size tanker loads.
